  • Life on the road isn’t always glamorous for?Balming Tiger. The group first started touring right after the pandemic, and as the group recalled, it was an intense time. Between members getting sick, lost luggage and small crowds, it wasn’t an easy path. "If I had to go back to that time, in my current state of mind, I don’t think I could endure that tour,” member BJ Wonjin shared. ? ? But the South Korean collective, who recently stopped over in Hong Kong on their ongoing tour, has grown — physically and otherwise.     Following last season’s debut, Hyperoom returned to Paris Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. As a private showroom from June 27 to June 30, over 150 buyers joined and met with brands including P. Andrade, TAEGLOBAL, Remagine, and Hypebeast’s in-house label, all showcasing their work with USM outfitting the space. Buyers were also enthralled with "Road to the Future," an exclusive initiative by Salomon in collaboration with Hypebeast, where four emerging Chinese designers brought their one-of-a-kind remake creations to the showroom. A special Friends & Family event on June 26 featured exclusive giveaways, curated collections, drinks, music, and workshops led by KOZABURO. Attendees explored distinct offerings from Hyperoom regulars like THUG CLUB, Brazil’s Piet, Mass-Produced articles (MPa), BOY London and more.     In collaboration with Hypemind, we look into a growing issue: a global matcha shortage. Thanks to social media trends, the demand for #matcha has skyrocketed and pushed its market value to over USD $3.2 billion in 2024 — but this viral popularity has resulted in an increasing lack of matcha supply. Production is limited by specialized farming and fewer Japanese tea farms, making it impossible to keep up with demand. Now, top producers are limiting sales, prices are volatile, and there’s a growing concern about low-quality, potentially unsafe matcha entering the market.
